Allah states:
“Those whom believe pay a attention: Upon you are yourselves.”
(Noble-Qur’ān: Chpt.5, V.105)
al-Muqaddimah/Prelude
I remember I was once asked about what’s 1-Thing that I possess that’s only for me. I responded that I’ve the Courage to fail. And, the Persons I stated this to couldn’t accept what I uttered. And…that’s 💯%-OK. What’s for me isn’t for them. I know how/why I stated what I said.
Having the Courage to Fail doesn’t mean that a Person wants/desires to be a Failure. And, it doesn’t mean that a Persons anticipates to fail at anything. Rather, it means that a Person is always prepared for Things to go wrong as well as adapt/adjust. It means that regardless of one’s Roadblocks in Life, they’re capable/able enough to overcome in a Pragmatic-Way.
Most-People who don’t have the Courage to fail: they’ve probably never been successful at anything substantial. I say this, exclusively, because Certain-Persons would rather simply quit as opposed to put forth Effort towards an Objective/Goal. Certain-People choose to quit before they even get started, because they’re that fearful of Failure.
This is precisely how/why I always say:
Courage isn’t the “Absence-Of-Fear”. Courage is the Willingness&Ability to confront Fear.
Yes…I definitely agree:
Failing is challenging.
Failing may be difficult.
Failing will always hurt.
etc.
At the Same-Time, there’s always the Opportunity to learn from one’s Failures in order to achieve Greater-Accomplishments. We all, as Humans, must/should be open to learning from our Failures.
There’s been Lots-Of-Things which I’ve failed at via This-Dunyā/Mundane. But, guess what?!!! There’s never been any Time in my Entire-Life, that I remained a Failure. As soon as I fell, I got rite back up and started-over
My Failures never “broke” me. However, they most definitely humbled me. And, being humbled via one’s Failures is something humanly essential. Our Failures remind us that we’re imperfect and will always be flawed. At the Same-Time, we’re never to remsin in any such Failed-State.
An Additional-Benefit of Failure is learning/knowing who’s truly there for you, if/when you need them the most. There’ve been Times, when I experienced Failure, when I couldn’t rely upon any other Human-Being except myself. Those’re amongst the Loneliest-Times of my Life.
I’m ironically grateful, to Allah, for that because:
It taught me to only depend upon Allah.
It taught me to rely upon myself, before I rely upon any other Human.
It taught me that Most-People aren’t reliable.
It taught me that Most-Challenges in my Life I must deal with alone.
