Muslims love debating This-Issue. Please…don’t ask me how/why, because I honestly don’t know how/why a Religio-Issue established so clearly via at-Tanzīl/Revelation could possibly be one of the Topics made so unjustly/unnecessarily complicated within the Muslim-World. I simply don’t get.

The Ikhtilāf/Religio-Scholastic Contention between Muslims regarding Religio-Dietary is, sadly, Centuries-Old. It’s the Direct/Overt-Result of so/too many Madhāhib (Religio-Postures/Opinions), as per the “Halāl-Meat” Issue.

Let’s begin with some Preliminary-Terminologies

Halāl:

Anything/everything detailed via at-Tanzīl which has been made Mahlūl/Islāmically-Allowable for any Muslim to do, say, partake, acquire, reject, accept, etc. Halāl inherently has never exclusively applied to Religio-Dietary.

Dhabīhah:

Any Halāl-Creature that’s a Land-Animal (allowed for Muslims to dietarily consume) that’s been personally slaughtered via Muslims.

Ahl-ul-Kitāb Food:

Any Foods via Halāl-Creatures personally slaughtered via Ahl-il-Kitāb/People of the Book (i.e. Judeo-Christians/Jews&Christians).

Unfortunately, the Average-Muslim neither knows nor cares about the Difference between Halāl & Dhabīhah. In fact, ironically, The Average-Muslim just goes with the Flow of Things: as long as something has “Halāl” branded/posted via any Products, Establishments, etc. it becomes “good enough” for them. That’s a Serious-Problem. And, what’s just as problematic is if/when Certain-Muslims whom only deem Dhabīhah to be Maqbūl/Islāmically-Acceptable. These 2 Polar-Opposite Extremes pose Regular-Fitnah/Drama in the Life of a Muslim, specifically/especially via the Modern-World in the Absence of al-Khilāfah/Islāmic-Governance which has been discontinued since 1340, A.H./1922, C.E.

To be just/fair to the Average-Muslim

Many-Muslims hail from Regions of the Muslim-World where they’ve never eaten Non-Dhabīhah Halāl-Meat, have largely never interacted with Judeo-Christians, etc. So far as eating Halāl-Foods from them: Most-Muslims live amongst Persons whom are either Muslims or Non Judeo-Christian, etc. So, quite naturally, it actually makes Sense how/why Certain-Muslims only want to consume Dhabīhah. However, the Muslim must be adaptable (if/when they vacate their Religio Comfort-Zones), as per relocating from Muslim-Countries to Non-Muslim Countries…from Muslim-Majority Countries to Non-Muslim Majority Countries…from Regions of the Muslim-World where Muslims are a Majority-Demographic to Regions of the Muslim-World where Muslims are a Minority-Demographic…etc.

The “Halāl-Food” Industry is to blame/fault for this as well though. It deliberately relys/preys upon & equally profits from the Pathological-Ignorance of the Muslim whom refuses to make themselves Islāmically-Informed/Knowledgeable, as per Islāmic-Dietary Ahkām/Regulations. Sadly, for the Average-Muslim, all it truly takes is for Food-Products to have Arabic-Writing/Stampage, have “Halāl” posted on Food-Products, have Food-Products imported from Muslim/Muslim-Majority Countries to Non-Muslim/Muslim-Minority Countries, etc. & it’ll be “Good-Enough” for them. This is exclusively because of the “Muslim-Lands” Mythos/Pseudo-Narrative. There’s literally Certain-Muslims whom really think/feel anything/everything from Muslim/Muslim-Majority Countries are: “Islāmic”, “Pure”, “Prestine”, “Pious/Righteous”, “Right/Correct”, etc.

This equally results from so/too many Muslims completely unwilling to be Islāmically-Knowledgeable. They’ve become comfortable/complacent via their Addiction of Shaykh-Culture, in that they pathologically rely upon Muslim-Personalities to make Religio-Decisions for them which they must make themselves. Every Muslim is Islāmically-Mandated to learn/know what’s: Mafrūdh (Mandated), Mustahāb (Encouraged), Mubāh (Neutral/Optional), Makrūh (Discouraged), Mahrūm (Prohibited) via al-Islām. And, to solely depend upon “Persons-Of-Knowledge” to do the Religio-Groundwork for Others is totally religio-irresponsible & equally morally-unintelligent.
