Allah states:
“Those whom believe pay attention: Revere Allah & speak a Straight-Word. They’ll purify your Actions & forgive your Sins for you. And, whomever obeys Allah & Their Messenger attains a Great-Accomplishment.”
(Noble-Qur’ān: Chpt.33, V.70&71)
“Those whom believe pay attention: Why do you say what you don’t do?!!! Severe it is with Allah, that you say what you don’t do.”
(Noble-Qur’ān: Chpt.61, V.2&3)
These Revelatory-Texts have been extraordinarily helpful for me, via my own Lifetime. And, it’s because I’ve been able to maintain a Character/Reputation of being someone whom can be reliable. Meaning, that if I say that I’ll do something, and/or do something for someone, then it gets done. I’m truly grateful, to Allah, that I’ve been capable to keep this going. 1-Example of what I mean is that 1-Occassion I had owed someone something. But, they weren’t confident that I would keep my Promise to them. And, they ended-up actually apologizing to me, for doubting my Word. That was actually major for me. It was major, because to be trusted is very important…by default it’s a Clear-Sign that you’re respected & there’s absolutely 0-Substitute for Respect. That-Scenario literally reminded me of how many People whom know me actually trust my Word holistically & that’s something which I take very seriously.
The Reason how/why I take this so seriously, is because Muhammad (Peace be upon them) stated that there’s Specific-Indicators of an-Nifāq/Hypocrisy that if one has them all then they’re a Munāfiq/Hypocrite (a Non-Muslim pretending to be a Muslim/a Disbeliever pretending to have Faith). A particular Hypocrisy-Indicator is someone whom lies everytime they speak (meaning that nothing which they utter can ever be trusted). This by default obviously means that they don’t keep their Word. This Particular-Indicator frightens me quite honestly.
(al-Bukhārī, Muslim, at-Tirmidhī, Abū-Dāwud, an-Nawawī)
However, fortunately for me (via the Rahmah/Mercy of Allah): I’m known to be a Keeper of my Word & I hope to always be That-Way. (For the Muslim) it’s essential to live via our Word, to have our Word respected&trusted, etc. All-People (regardless of whether they’re Muslims or Non-Muslims) must/should be able to depend upon us to be truthful/honest at All-Times.
