This is precisely how/why asking Allah for: ar-Rahmah/Mercy, at-Tawbah/Repentance, al-Maghfirah/Forgiveness, al-`Āfiyah/Pardon, etc. are so essentially important. There’s a Reason how/why one of the Names-Of-Allah is Al-Mu’ākhir/The Ultimate-Delayer. We, as Humans, not getting chastised for Negative-Character/Behavior instantly shouldn’t necessarily make us comfortable…that’s supposed to bother us, because if we don’t catch it here it may very well await us via al-Ākhirah/the Hereafter which’ll be worse realistically.
